Niché au cœur de la gare historique de Roma Ostiense, le salon de l’Orient Express imaginé par Hugo Toro incarne l’alliance parfaite entre patrimoine et modernité.
Inspiré de l’esthétique intemporelle de l’Art déco, le designer réinvente ce style avec audace, à travers des matériaux nobles, des détails raffinés et un plafond orange vif et réfléchissant qui dynamise l’espace.
Ce lieu unique rend hommage à l’histoire de la gare grâce à l’intégration des mosaïques originales de Giulio Rosso et Maria Zaffuto, et à l’utilisation massive du travertin, pierre emblématique de l’architecture romaine. Les lustres néon tubulaires, les motifs inspirés des plafonds à caissons, et les œuvres d’art évoquant l’esprit du voyage renforcent l’expérience immersive.

Nestled within the historic Roma Ostiense station, the Orient Express lounge designed by Hugo Toro offers a refined blend of heritage and modern elegance. Inspired by timeless Art Deco aesthetics, Toro reinterprets the style with bold creativity—featuring rich materials, sophisticated details, and a striking vibrant orange reflective ceiling that energizes the space.
The lounge pays tribute to the station’s legacy with preserved original mosaics by Giulio Rosso and Maria Zaffuto, and the extensive use of travertine, a hallmark of Roman architecture. Tubular neon chandeliers, coffered-inspired design elements, and travel-themed artworks enhance the immersive atmosphere.
